About Me

Hi there! My name is Rebekah, and I am passionate about storytelling.

I have been an avid reader since the day I learned, and I still make an effort to read at least 30 published fiction books a year, in addition to the work of my clients. While I mainly read newer fantasy and science fiction novels in my free time, I also read a handful of past Pulitzer, Nebula, and Hugo winners to vary my repertoire and ensure I’m reading what’s considered the best.

In my closet, I have a box of old handwritten stories from grade school, featuring my terrible chicken scratch and stick figure drawings. I told stories based on my life, but I also pushed myself creatively to new worlds I could only imagine. As I matured as a writer, I found myself teaming up with friends and classmates to collaborate on new ideas, and my love of story structure and plotting was officially born.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in English and creative writing, and while I enjoyed working on my own stories, the workshops and peer reviews were what made my education exciting.

Discussing fiction, and more specifically, how stories come together, is my absolute favorite thing to do. When you work with me, I immerse myself in your world because there is nothing more exciting to me than exploring a new sandbox. At the same time, I recognize that it is not my sandbox to play in. Rather than crouching down and constructing castles myself, I stay high enough that I can view the whole landscape and provide informed suggestions on how to make it better.

In other words, I don’t tell you how I would write this. I take the time to understand your goals, so I can help you tighten up your story your way.

I have been lending my passion to writers for years, and I’m thrilled to be in a position to do this now on a more consistent basis. I am driven to see you succeed. I want your stories to be the best they can be.

Let’s get to work :)
